Nail Salon Exposure? Should I Call Dr.?

Hi,
I got my nails done yesterday and I wasn't paying attention to what they were doing. They did trim my cuticles without causing them to bleed, but I did get cuts from filing (I am pretty sure they were new files) and from the dremmel. The cuts are right around my cuticles--only one bled, the others are more worn down areas of skin. I don't think they were cleaning implements between uses and now I am terrified. When I got home, I scrubbed my cuticles with rubbing alcohol, then peroxide, then betadyne. I know I am worrying obsessively, but should I call my doctor? I saw online that there is a combo of drugs that can be taken within 72 hours of exposure. Am I going to far with this worry or should I call my dr. immediately? Thanks!

No; this is not a risk for HIV transmission and there would certainly be no reason for you to consider PEP therapy.

HIV is an EXTREMELY delicate virus outside the body. There has never been a case of someone becoming infected with HIV from a nail salon.
