Inconclusive HIV results

Just received a call from Dr's office and they say that my recent test results from HIV screening showed as "indeterminate" - they said that this is not something to be overly concerned about because it happens all the time. They want me to come back in 4 weeks to be retested. Seriously???? 4 weeks is a long time to sit on this? I have been married for 16 years - my only sex partner is my husband for 18 years and I am 99% confident he is faithful (no one gets 100% from me, that is just reality). How concerned should I be about these results? Does this happen frequently? She said that in the lab if they tested for 1 piece of the test and couldn't find a conclusive result they have to scrap the entire test, is this true?

Yes; this happens all too frequently. Attached is a good article that describes the different test results.
