Microdermabrasion

I'm looking into getting some Microdermabrasion treatments. I found a place that had a really good deal on them and scheduled an appointment. The place is owned by a dermatologist but I was informed that non-medical assistants perform the procedure. From what I understand, your skin is sandblasted by small crystals and it's common to get small cuts in your skin from the procedure. What are the chances of catching HIV or HEP C by doing this? Is it common that places reuse crystals? Should I go ahead w/ the procedure?
