    HIV symptoms
    An_247983 posted:
I am single. 5 to 6 weeks ago, i had protected sex with 3 escort girls. 3-4 weeks later, i started having back pain, and overall muscle pain (arm, leg, joints), weakness, and one cold sore in mouth, but no swollen gland or fever. i am so scared that i could not sleep well, difficult doing daily work. People are saying the chance of getting hiv from protected sex is low, but i can't explain why the symptoms don't go away after 10 days. is 5 weeks too early to go for testing?
    georgiagail responded:
The chances of contracted HIV from protected sex (assuming the condom was used accurately and did not break or tear) is zero. The virus cannot cross an intact latex barrier.

Whatever is causing your symptoms is not due to HIV.

If you insist on testing, wait until the 12 week mark.

didn't examine the condom, but my penis was covered (in the ruber) after sex, does that mean condom wasn't broken?
