About two weeks ago I had a sex with a shemale escort (and that was the worst thing i had ever done) anyways i received a blowjob without a condom for like 1 min and then we had protected anal sex. Now after two weeks later I noticed i have a swollen lymph node and i freaked out now. i have a couple question
    1. what are my chance of getting hiv ?
    2. do i really need to get tested ?
    3. and get you get the symptoms of hiv in 2 weeks?
    georgiagail responded:
    1. From the protected
From the unprotected oral for one minute...likely just about zero. Oral sex carries an extremely low risk of HIV transmission; think along the lines of an estimated risk of .5 to 1 per 10,000 exposures with a source KNOWN to carry the virus. This assumes that the oral sex lasted longer than one minute and again, this is with a source known to be HIV positive. Your risk would be even less since you do not know this persons status.

    2. If you remain concerned, doing so should ease your concerns.

    3. We don't attempt to diagnose HIV by symptoms, only by risk. The risks were outlined above.
