    HIV Seroconversion and Hypothyroidism
    An_250797 posted:
Hello. Would having untreated Hypothyroidism affect the seroconversion of HIV? Would an 8 week test still be reasonably accurate? Thank you.
    georgiagail responded:
No; having hypothyroidism would have no effect on the accuracy of an 8 week HIV test result.

    An_250797 responded:
Even if it is caused by Hashimoto's Disease which is technically an autoimmune disorder? Sorry, I should have included that in my original post. I have heard that autoimmune disorders can cause delayed seroconversion. Thank you!
    georgiagail replied to An_250797's response:
Nope...If you remain concerned over this, get another test at the 90 day mark (which is the recommended time for testing).
