Possible HIV exposure need advice
JEN_24 posted:
Hello I recently cut my arm with a piece of glass. The glass came from a slide that you would put under a microscope. It was a dry mount slide and the slide was 10 years old. Is it even possible that I have a risk of HIV espouse. Could the virus even survive that long on a slide. Please give me advice because I am freaking out!!!
georgiagail responded:
No, HIV rarely survives seconds outside the body, let alone 10 years on a slide (did the slide even contain bodily fluids from someone with HIV?).

There is absolutely no risk here.
