Hello I'm very paranoid that I may have HIV. In the back of my head I know that I do not have a risk but I'm still afraid. I had unprotected sex with my ex that resulted in no semen coming out. The sex lasted for a brief 9 minutes. This episode happened in March. I freaked out and got tested for everything at 5 weeks all were negative. Then on May 10 we had sex but it was protected no condom failure. I'm now afraid and wondering should I get tested even if I had sex with a condom??. Im positive no semen went through Bc my period came on and like I stated the condom didn't have any holes. However I'm afraid that I have HIV even though I have no risk. Also I was a virgin before I met him and I'm not sure if this is some emotional shock from losing my virginity. I'm also back in the dating scene and I'm scared to death to form a relationship with this new guy Bc of my paranoia with HIV. Please help

Condoms, when used accurately, are an effective barrier against HIV (assuming your partner is even HIV positive).

If you're worried about HIV with this new guy, ask that he get tested before you become intimate with him.
