135/90 is slightly high. The good goal is 130/80 or lower. I have been fighting to get bp down for a while now, my Dr. suggested additional meds to help control. I am now averaging 123/77. I us a combination of Lisinopril 40mg/Altenolol 25 mg(twice daily) and Clonidine 1mg twice daily. I cannot use the HCTZ because of Kidney problems. Best to consult your Dr. and ask about alternative or additional meds. 135/90 is not dangerous, but not ideal either.
