on October 3, 2010 for our third Birthday Party!

We are celebrating 3 years of
Educating and Supporting
kidney patients in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our guest speaker for this 3rd Birthday Celebration will be
Dr. Toby Gottheiner ,
who presented at our first meeting
three years ago in October of 2007.
Dr. Gottheiner is a local nephrologist with the
Palo Alto Medical Foundation and a recipient of many honors.
He recently received the
Champions of Hope Award for Physicians
from the National Kidney Foundation
(of Northern California and Northen Nevada).
Dr. Gottheiner also acts as the BAAKP Medical Advisor.

Dr. Gottheiner's topic on October 3 will be
"Hypertension, Salt and Chronic Kidney Disease."
The talk will cover the impact of
hypertension on the kidneys and hypertension treatment strategies
(in people with normal as well as impaired kidney function).
He will also cover various
diet and nutritional aspects of hypertension including salt.
