Humid weather and Ibs

Hello All,
Does any one else have issues with Ibs and the hot weather? It seems like all the support groups say its the cold weather that effects people with ibs. I have had ibs for all of my 34 years I think i'm like every one else i have my good days then i have the days where you basically just stay in the bathroom. I'm also diabetic so some of the food that will help with ibs throws my sugar to high. I just wish some one could figure out something for us. Its kinda hard to go do things on the spur of the moment when you have no clue when or where your ibs will kick in..

Hi shortyme,

IF weather has any effect--it must be the humidity in your case. I live in Tucson, AZ...and I don't notice an increase/change when it gets hot here.

Have you journaled? If not, keep track of days that are 'active' and days that are not....then, after a couple of summers have passed by, you can see if there's a pattern with the weather.

Good luck,

Barbara
