I'm a 53 yr old male that has had IBS all my life. My doctor in NY was so frustrated with me, he gave me a Crones medication called Entocort EC and it worked for me. Life was good.I was forced to retire to to disabilities and lost my insurance. I only paid a $30.00 co-pay per month for it. Then I moved to Florida and the pills ran out. It has been a nightmare, with "accidents" out in public, messing the bed and spending much time on the toilet.Now I even have the ab pain associated with IBS. I've checked into Entocort EC down here and it's $419.00 per month for the generic.I just had all kinds of blood work and a colonsocopy, everything is fine. The doctor wants me to chew two bizmal tabs 3 times a day along with 2 doses of imodium. That does not sound healthy to me. I'm at the end of my rope.I'm writing this at 2:20 am. Can't sleep with this pain.....
