    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Hi, I'm new here. I am a 15-year old girl and I have been having problems for the last year or so. I "go" probably 4-5 times a day and my bowels range from dark and loose to extremely hard and painful throughout the day. However, every time I go blood is the only things that is there to wipe off, if you get what I mean. The times I have constipation my stools look like they are wrapped in white strings (kind of looks like sausage casings) and it also looks like there are blood vessels in the stools (which I know there aren't). I eat plenty of vegetables (my parents tell me I eat too many),I get regular excercise, drink plenty of fluids, and am otherwise normal (I think). Does anyone have any idea wether this is something serious? I mentioned having bloody constipation to my physician (didnt go into as much detail) but she only said to eat more vegetables as the blood was probably due to fissures (or something), I didn't tell her that I already ate a ton. Sorry if this is TMI, but thanks for any help.
