Apparently we're all in lurk mode...

I'm doing fine. The weather could stand with some improvement though - it's been grey and rainy for the last few days and it's supposed to stay like that for most of the week. I want sunshine!

Been lurking on just about all my boards. Not much into sharing lately.

I have been bad and I did indulge in some blue corn chips! OMG soooo painful later but sooooooooo worth that taste!!! Sometimes you just gotta!!!

Getting second set of Facet Joint Injections tomorrow. looking forward to the immense relief but not the pain.

Blue corn chips are your weakness...chocolate is mine! I have a bag of 'em at home, and when I am having the craving, I pop a couple in....I'll eat more than two if I am not having to go to work that day!

Hi Renny....things are quiet on this end. We've started to heat up for the summer, though. I know I should be used to the weather 'change' in California, but it surprises me every summer.

Glad to hear things are okay for you right now CalGal. I haven;t been doing too well at all... pretty sick. I am 7 wks into my treatment for lyme. The first 4 wks were doxy which was okay other than the fact that I was regurgitating my food. I started taking protonix which helped and then the insurance stopped covering it. They gave me omeprezole (spelling?) which is not as good. Anyways after 4 wks of doxy the doc put me on amoxicillin 3000mg a day. I have been on it for 3 wks and it has been hell. Last night I felt so horrible I dont even know what to do with myself: feeling like I am going to throw up and poop my pants at the same time, dizzy, leg pain, arms so weak I cant change the channel on the TV, pounding headache/eye pain, neck pain and stiff neck and back pain. It is really horrible.

It is hard to say what is the lyme, what is the Herx reaction and what may be the med itself. I really dont know. Lyme is a difficult diagnosis and the docs really dont know how to treat it perfectly. It is trial and error- amoxi may be an error for me. I have an appt with the lyme doc today... he wants to try me on IV rocephin. I am not sure if that will start today or what we will decide. I have to hear my options. Rocephin has a high success rate for late-stage chronic lyme symptoms. I am worried though because I know it causes gallbladder issues... and i really dont need that! Doc says I can take ursodiol with the rocephin and should be fine. Any thoughts CalGal?

I am so tired of being sick and trapped in this mean mean painful sick body. I hope something helps soon.
