Use pharmaceutical probiotic

I have IBS since for over 30 years. I have used over the counter diarrhea medication, and bentyl when necessary. I learned what foods caused me problems and avoid them unless I am at home or close to home. After a colonoscopy, several years ago nothing help. I started on 10mg of Lexapro and started using a pharmaceutical probiotic which has given me much relief. I can travel now and eat while on the road as well as visit other homes with not problems. Still have to watch too much sugar.

what do you mean by pharm probiotic... is this an actual prescription medication as opposed to the "stuff" on the shelf, if so what is it called, i am very interested. thanks
