TTC cycle # 8
KIKASH27 posted:
I am writing to try and get some feedback from you all. My husband and I have been TTC since January (although we have not tried to prevent pregancy since we were married in Nov. 2012). I have been off BC for close to 3 years now and my cycle is very regular. I believe our problem was timing for the first couple of months (as it usually is). For some reason I believed I ovulated much earlier than I actually do. I have been using opk for the past 3 cycles as well as keeping track of my CM. As soon as I get the positive opk we BD pretty much as often as possible that day and the 2 following, while BD regularly (every other day) before the positive opk as well. Last month was the first time I felt like we timed it perfectly, yet I did not end up pregnant. This month I am hoping for better results. We have been BD every other day this entire cycle. I got my first positive opk yesterday afternoon (CD18) and we BD last night. My opk was still positive this morning as well. The problem now is that I have to babysit my nieces this weekend, so we will not be able to BD tonight or tomorrow for extra measure. Do you think that my chances are still good with BD -2DPO & -1DPO (as ovulation is expected to occur today)?

I am really having a hard time each month when I see that BFN or AF. I am 25 and my husband is 30. We are both healthy, but it just doesn't seem to be happening. I know I need to relax, but it is really hard to do when you want this so badly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You did BD before the ovulation should occur so you should be just fine as far as that goes. Sperm can last several days. It does stink... we all get it.
KIKASH27 replied to wimpychompers3's response:
Thanks for the response. An update to my story...I tested yesterday and finally got my BFP! (3 of them actually) I am 11 DPO today, so I was surprised to see such strong results at only 10 DPO. I did experience what I believe was implantation bleeding on Saturday 8/10 (8 DPO). I had never experienced that any other cycle, so I knew it had to have worked this time! I am beyond excited!!!!!
