False Negative Test Results
prplpin posted:
I have recently taken a couple pregnancy tests and two have came back with very faint positive lines and a digital comes back negative. My last cycle started on 1/6/14 and I should have started my next cycle on 2/1. Is it to early to get a positive result? Or has anyone else experienced this?
atti_editor responded:
Hi prplpin,

I don't have any experience with this, but you might find this article on Home Pregnancy Tests helpful. It says that tests are usually most accurate about a week after a missed period, so you might still want to wait a couple of days, and that the first urine of the morning is the best to use as it usually gives you the most accurate results.

Hope this helps!

I know that a faint line is a postive. I also know that with the digital you need a higher Beta Hcg for it to show positive, meaning very early pregnancy usually is not detected by the digital ones, from my personal experience as well as what the doctor said. The best early pregnancy test in my opinion is First Response (not digital). Hope this helps... Good luck. Hoping I can be blessed. I have been trying for a whiel now to get pregnant again, and I can't...wish you the best
