    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    jeannettepap posted:
is it possible to conceive while on your period? if so, how likely is it.
    Emma_WebMD_Staff responded:
    Hi Jeannettepap,

I apologize for the delay in answering you but normally there are not a lot of people on our communities in those wee hours of the night. While there is no exact way to predict when you ovulate there is only a very slim chance that you can conceive on your period. However, it's not out of the realm of possibilities. If you think you are pregnant I'd suggest that you take a home pregnancy test.

    Good luck either way!

Thank you so much for your response. I have another question if you don't mind, if it turns out that I did conceive while on my period, i would need to have an abortion as soon as possible, i currently do not have any children, i am 34 and would love to have children ( just not with this person). What would be the chances of me conceiving again after an abortion and at my age?
