TTC with long periods (35-40 day cycle)

I am TTC with really long & weird cycles ..I have been using BBT & OPK test kits ..BBT is confusing as my temp is weird ..opk test came out positive on 23rd day of my cycle...thinking that I would O , we made lot of baby making dust .. but did not work...
Is there any1 with similar condition ... wht are the chances of conceiving with long cycles ?and even though u conceive , wht is the success rate ....??? what would be the quality of eggs when u O late ???

I am in the same boat. 35-40 day cycles, OPK says O happens on day 23, but fertility monitor (Ovacue) says its around day 14?? Did a HSG, no blockage, tried Clomid one cycle, no sucess. Going to try that again this cycle, after taking this cycle off. Seems like it takes forever for another O with these long cycles, which makes TTC so much harder! My doc says that as long as I am getting periods (the length of them really doesnt matter) all should be good. I do notice however that my periods are much heavier and cramping is alot worse with these longer cycles.
