TMI Question
Anon_1560 posted:
I just shaved "down there" and in shaving (I have to use a mirror) I noticed that my vaginal area has turned purple. I am not due for my period for another week so it is too early to test. Has anyone run across this before? (I also tend to ovulate early.... we had sex on cd 8 and I believe that I ovulated on day 9,10, or 11)
I had this in my last pregnancy, but not this early.
Haylen_WebMD_Staff responded:
A bluish or purplish color is caused by the hormone estrogen. It can be observed as early as 6 weeks after conception - its an early sign of pregnancy. However, it is also a sign that your period is coming.
