No Bleeding After Mirena Removal

I had my Mirena removed 2 days ago. After reading numerous posts on the horrific bleeding associated with the removal, I have yet to experience that. I had a normal monthly cycle the 2 years that it was in place. Could this be the reason that I'm not having the bleeding so many women have?

you will very likely return to normal cycle. i have rarely heard of my patients complaining of heavy bleeding after removal.

I didn't have a lot of bleeding after removal of my Mirena, I only had it in for 3 months (long story) but after removal only had a little spotting for a day or two. Then a normal period following that. But I have definitely heard you can get a lot of bleeding...I think I was told that I could have bleeding for up to 6 weeks following the insertion (not removal), so I suppose the same would be true after removal. Luckily that was not the case.
