Trying to conceive .. Too old? Wrong sex position?
    An_247404 posted:
We started to have unprotected sex last September then I started to check my fertile days on my calendar (no opk) we had unprotected sex but for one reason or another we had intercourse way before or after my days. I started to get frustrated so finally last June I started to use opk having positive LH results every month. We had intercourse 1 or 2 days before the Lh surge and when the surge is detected but not the extra day or 2 days after ( as I saw online some people had sex the same day plus 1 or 2 days after). So this will be my 3rd month testing. It could be a problem with our age difference? I have to admit I get so stressed at work or thinking I want to get pregnant that it might be that the problem. recently we had friends having a baby (one after almost a year trying, and the other one after 2 years trying) and im like "why It didn't happened to me yet?" my friend told me to relax it will happens when last expected but I would like to ask you all if you have any other advice ..also if the position of she sitting on top of him is not good for trying to conceive ....he is 43 and I'm 31

    1) No sex positions/rituals greatly affect conception rates.

    2) Sounds like you guys are doing all the right things. If you have read my previous answers to questions, I always say the same thing.... have sex daily or every other day from around cycle day 10 to around cycle day 20. That will ensure you hit your "fertility window" unless you cycle length is super long.

Since it has been 1 year, without conception, I would go see your OBGYN provider and get an initial evaluation. Part of this will be a semen analysis from your husband.
