Im not really sure what is wrong with me but ill just describe myself and my symptoms that i know of.
***Female, 22 years old. zero children yet.
*** previously had a few medium sized cysts and a large amount of small cysts on both ovaries, and a dark mass on my uterus which seemed to disappear within a few months. The ER believed it was a blood clot.
During the time they found these cysts I was having severe bleeding that would not stop. All periods I ever did have are only 2-3 days of spotting to very light bleeding.

***Presently, I have been checked for cysts and none have come back. But, I have several almost medium sized follicles on both my ovaries, no period will start on its own. Birth control (all kinds), provera, and other things have been done to start it back up normally.
I received my period twice while all this happened, due to whatever medication we were trying at the time, but didnt get it again after that.
All my hormones came back normal one 3 separate occasions. My testosterone came back 5 points higher than normal, once but was normal every other time.

I have gained about 25-30 pounds since this all began in 2009 and cannot lose the weight at all. I was always a VERY tiny girl. Never weighed more than 120 in my entire life, and all of a sudden ( felt like overnight.. crazy) I was 145-150. Never really had acne, until now. One goes away and another is there. Lower abdomenal pain every once in a while varying from mild to severe, like cramping i guess but I never ever had a cramp, even during periods, before this. Cramping feeling gets so severe i feel like i will pass out or vomit. I get very pale.
Glucose levels are always in the 80's. Insulin levels are being checked.

My dr's are taking their dandy old time and Ive been switch between so many drs only to not have results... But they are "guessing: either PCOS or Insulin Resistance. Im just so sick and tried and fustrated and want some type of a direction to the answer.

Ive dont have any of the characteristics of PCOS though.
Ive always been really skinny, no acne, no hormonal imbalances before... Thank you soooo much. You dont know how much this means to me.

I am 26 y/0...never had a regular menstrual cycle. I too have several cysts on my ovaries. I do not fit the other characterics of PCOS either. I have just been told that I have polycystic ovaries, and rarely ovulate. You can talk to your Dr., but I recently started TTC, and My dr. reccommended an OTC med called Pregnitude. I am taking the ingredients in it separately, as its half the cost to do so, inositol and folic acid. Supposedly this helps with anovulatory cycles, regulates cycles and helps with glucose. Ive been taking it a few weeks. I just got my period, a i do notice its different, so I guess we will see. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thank you. That's all my doctors have told me. I heard of that drug, but I dont really want to continue with drugs because thats all they seem to give me. Let me know how that works out for you. I will ask them about that. My glucose is always in the 80's. We are checking my insulin now. I really hope one of those doctors replys on here. lol
