Trying to Conceive

My husband and I have been ttc since July this summer. I finished out my last pack of birth control pills the last week of June pill (I've taken them since I was 16) with the idea it would take a couple of months of unprotected sex in order to get pregnant. My period returned regularly the same week it would have if I was still on the pill. So far we have had no such luck. We have tried the ovulation predictor kit one month and had no such luck. We are trying not to put to much pressure on ourselves to get pregnant but have sex 3-4 times a week. Just recently, I read salvia used as lube can harm sperm and we've always used salvia as our choice of lube. Is this true? Anything else anyone can recommend for us to try?

My doctor told me that women who are on birth control for a while my take longer to actually get pregnant because our bodies need to regulate again. I would just keep trying. Me and my husband got pregnant right after stopping BC but we had a MC, so i think waiting a few cycles after BC is a good thing. Just keep trying! I wish you the best

Hi there,
I found your post really interesting because like you, my DF and I have also been TTC since July of this year, but no luck yet. We're to the point now that we're starting to get discouraged but trying to not get to the point that we're "giving up". As far as the lube question goes- I honestly have NO idea, but I wish you tons of luck. It seems we're in the same boat
