Ways to make period regular?

Ive always had irregular periods and today was diagnosed with PCOS.

I want to have regular periods so I can start to track ovulation. The Dr I saw doesn't want to see me for 9-12 months and will then refer me to a specialist.

I tried Vitex but it didn't really make my periods regular, just maybe more of them, and helped with acne and some PMS symptoms.

Is there anything else I can try?

I'm confused as I am a healthy BMI, exercise regularly and eat well. I can't see any more changes I can make to my diet that will help.. I am taking preconception vitamin now. WHat else can I try?
