Kidney failure with 4 month infection

to anyone tell me what they no about diabetics and kidney failure my store my mom has been a diabetic for 20 years type 2 her sugar is uunsteady range of 190 to 300 even with pills and shots. last year she was hospitalize for e-coli about killed her. She was seen by a uroglist for stones which was removed by shock. no stones sense but has had a Kidney infection 7 out of the last 13 months. Her family Dr has told her he believed she was in Kidney Failure. She doestn't have insurance so the Uroglist stop seeing her because she couldn't pay her promissary note each month. sense in March she was hospitalized again for the infection e-coli again and she could not pee for two days when she was released they give her a round of antibotics. Cultures has shown she has has the infection sense March 4 different antibotics a steadt infection, now they have found a mass on her ovaries. Oncolgist want do surgery without clearence from Uroglist. I have so many question that i need answered before a and thing is set like how long can her kidneys last why won't infection go away would her life be worth living without pain if she has surgery and suffers threw all this please someone help me with answers
