CKD and incontinence

My son is 29 and was just diagnosed with CKD.He is also autistic. He is having a lot of incontinence issues and I wondered if others have experienced that. I'm not sure where we're going with all this as he would not be able to handle dialysis. Is there an increased need to urinate or at times an inability to realize you need to go? He can't ask or answer these questions or give symptoms to me so I'm counting on you brave people.

I think that it would depend on the exact variation of chronic renal disease that is going on. Some can reduce urine output, but others can increase it. So it's hard to guess what might help without more detail.

It's also possible that the two things are not related.

If you have more details from the doctor we might get a bit closer to an answer.
