Enormous cyst at the upper pole right kidney

Hi,
I am 71 year old male, with no history of any kind of health problem except lower back and knees pain from chronic arthritis. I never experienced any kidney pain or problem in the past. July 4th, 2012 I saw heavy blood in my urine, without any pain, lasted from 9:00PM till 3:00AM. At 6AM the urine cleared up and never had any recurrence till now. My primary physician recommended a urine test and 3 different blood tests to check for blood in urine, cancer or kidney malfunction, and were all negative, then he recommended a ct scan and according to the Radiologist report I have:
"Bilateral renal cysts. Enormous cyst at the upper pole right kidney 14cm x 12cm in the axial plane and 14cm superior-interior. This apparently is distorting the axis of the kidney rotating it so the upper pole is relatively anterior. There is a 9cm cyst just interior to it, and a 4cm cyst interior to that. There is a 2 cm cyst medially left kidney. There are calcifications in the left renal sinus but these appear to be arterial. I do not see a radiopaque stone nor obstruction at either right or left pelvacliceal system nor along the course of either ureter. No bladder stone is seenâ?¦Ultrasound might be considered to confirm their cystic nature...I do not see a cyst in the liver although the upper pole kidney cyst distorts the right lobe of the liver"
According to my primary physician these cysts are benign not malignant and he referred me to a specialist (I'm not sure is going to be a Nephrologist or Urologist). I'm looking forward for an opinion about the most probable outcome from those huge cysts and if they need to be removed considering their unusual sizes; also what kind of questions should I ask the specialist?
Thanks
