    UPJ Obstruction
    An_247016 posted:
I was diagnosed with a UPJ obstruction and I feel really scared. I am a college student and the semester starts pretty soon. I know that I have to get surgery but I will be informed of the date on August 15th. I'm wondering how long is the recovery after the surgery?

Depends on the type of procedure that the doc thinks is best for each case. Sometimes it can be done via a scope (with general anesthesia) and no external incisions, so that tends to heal very quickly. Other times a small upper abdominal incision is required, so that takes a while longer to heal.

You have to ask the doc who is going to do the procedure what the plan is.
