    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

I had a large kidney stone in my bladder removed Friday 10/5/12. Sunday morning 10/7/12 when getting out of bed, I had some urine leak out. Is this common and will it correct itself? Thanks for any input.

I'm going to assume that it was removed via a cystoscope. In that case, it's likely that the scope and the stone (on the way out) slightly distended the urinary sphincter muscles, and that might correct itself after a short while.

Still, I'd report this to the doc that did the stone removal, just to get his opinion: it's not impossible to 'tear' those small muscles. Depending on what is actually going on, it might take a lot more time, or it might require intervention to correct it.
