Hello Everyone!

My dad takes insulin shots twice a day and a friend recommended
raspberry leaf tea to disintoxicate and soothe the kidneys. Has anyone
heard of raspberrry leaf tea as having these medicinal properties?

I look forward to the feedback...Jay

Hi Jay! I'm glad you're looking for more information before your dad adds anything to his diet. I strongly encourage your father to check with his doctor to make sure the tea is safe for his body.

WebMD has lots of information here: RED RASPBERRY Overview Information - Uses, Precautions, Side Effects, Interactions & Dosing

In part: The chemicals in red raspberry might have antioxidant effects and help relax blood vessels. They might also cause muscles to contract or relax, depending on the dose and the muscle involved. This is the theory behind red raspberry's use in easing labor and delivery.

Please let us know what your fathers doctor says!
