    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

    Polyp on my kidney?

I had a UTI and didn't finish my antibiotics, next thing my lower back started hurting extremely bad with occasional sharp pains. It was only on the left side. Doctor gave me antibiotic because felt it was a kidney infection. The antibiotics didn't help. I was seen at the ER where they did an ultra sound and I was told that I have a polyp on my kidney. They didn't say much about it, didn't tell me if I need to be seen by a specialist...needless to say they were far from helpful. I guess I'm just looking for anybody who might know about polyps on the kidneys. I am waiting to get into a doctor to be seen. Any information would be helpful! Thanks!
