Kidney pain and mysterious back bruise

Hi Folks,

I'm wondering your take on this.
I have a damaged right kidney. For the last few weeks I have had noticeable pain in this kidney. Also, about two weeks ago I started having a red spot on my back in the kidney area. The spot was the size of a tea saucer. Now this spot is looking like a bruise. Is the kidney pain and the spot related? If these two things are related and a symptom of something does anyone know what this might be? By the way, the kidney pain is still there but it is duller than what it used to be.

Thanks for your help.
