The question I have is did anyone who had the bi-lateral knee surgery have any hip pain after wards? My hips are horrible now.I had no problem before the surgery, but now it's horrible. Can this throw your back and hips out? I am not going to PT anymore, I do more excerises and streching at home than I did there.I read in other replies that others feel like they got run over by a truck...! I feel the same .I know it's just 3 months today and I guess I thought I'd be doing great! This hip pain is the killer, sitting and then stand up and try to walk is so painful. I still have that tight band around my knees, it's still numb too with swelling. I do apply ice to the knees and it does help but the pain meds don't even take the back and hip pain away, it just dulls it. I was thinking of going to a chirpractor to see if I'm out of wack from having bad knees for so long.! one thing for sure I could never go and have my hips done, but Why after surgery is there a problem? Did anyone else have this problem? I feel like I'm clicking all over! I'll be waiting to hear from someone!....Thank you!

My right knee was replaced 7 years ago, but as I recall, I had some hip discomfort for a short time, but that was attributed to the fact that I was "walking" totally different than I had been before the surgery. I also had some arthritis in my right hip but it wasn't severe enough at that point. I was told by my physical therapist that once my body adjusted to this new "foreign object" in my body, it would adjust. It did.

Seems like your pain is quite severe. Have you talked to your Dr. about this? I certainly would be on the phone again and again until I received some sort of response and/or explanation.

You shouldn't have to suffer like you apparently are. Make that phone call to your medical professional and get some answers. Let us know the results, OK? We do care here.
