    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Reading all your comments has been helpful to me. My TKR was just 3 weeks ago yesterday. Dr says I am progressing ahead of schedule and hes thrilled with my response, but I sure dont feel like it. The knee is hot, hard and I see that you all are saying this is normal. I am at 91 ROM but the PT says If I am not at 110 or more by therapy end the dr will put me in the hospital, put me out and MAKE my knee bend. ?? That scared me. Right now I am getting around ok, I only take pain pills right before PT sessions. I am feeling depressed & Maybe being too hard on myself?? I know everyone I know says its worth it in the end but right now I dont see that. Actually the pain feels like its suffocating me. I am no whimp but this surgery has really taken a toll on me. I also have a bakers cyst under the back of the knee that is miserable. He says it will dissolve on its own. I want to know also if your calf muscles hurt? Mine feel like they have gone thru a paper shredder. I ice the knee & they said I can use heat on the calf. any comments, thoughts will be appreciated. HECK right now i could use a cheer squad.
