Does Anyone have god experiences with TKR

I have two bad knees and are considering TKR on both. My doctor has told me that I will need it done. Cortisone shots not longer help. To do both knees, I will have the left done first followed by the right 4-6 weeks later. The right can be delayed if the left is not progressing well. I started to read the various posts and now am getting scared from all the negative posts.
