I am new here. I am recovering from the surgery. I love to walk but find it very hard now. I am seeking some support as I get depressed about the slow recovery. I was a walker before and can you tell me how long the swelling and pain last? I am getting a lot of mixed opinions on this. Thank you.

Your doctor should have told you this kind of surgery takes months to heal from, not weeks. Your surgery was less than a month ago. Give yourself time to heal.
