Hip Replacement and muscle cramping
avatar
child2of2 posted:
My husband had hip replacement only 5 days ago. He is having very severe leg cramping - spasms - in his leg and buttocks that are far worse than the pain he is experiencing from the surgery. His surgeon told him that some of the muscles in his leg had not been used for so long (due to the need for this surgery) that they would have to learn how to work again. I'm wondering is this is what is causing the spasms? Is this normal??
