    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? I don't know how old you are or if that is relevant, but I'd be happy with a mile or so walk.....I would not overdo it.

I can barely walk much NOW as everything is worse in my ole body.

    Hi, atlantic69 -

Walking is great after total knee replacement.

If, after walking there miles, your new knee feels good, then go for it!

I have two new knees. My surgeon said no running or jogging whatsoever. That, for certain, will wear out the knee. Walking won't.

My surgeon recommended getting in the pool as often as possible and walking if I didn't swim.

I hope to build up to three miles a day!! Good for you!!

My second knee was just done in November of 2013, so I have a ways to go. I can't wait to build my newest knee up to walking that much!
