Here is a video I found:) I like this. Simple and it makes sense. I can't think about being wasteful at this point. I really need to do this for my mental health so I can function better as a person.
I'm going to do this and watch this guys videos. They look good:)

That's a great video, Topaz--Ironically, the host's name is too similar to my ex's name, LOL--Go figure--More stuff that I still have to get rid of! (Meaning, my ex shows up at places I go to--It's a long story....)

While watching that video, though, I found 4 things to easily throw away...I've been throwing one thing away each day for a few weeks now, and it does seem as if the clutter were disappearing like magic!

Glad you liked the video:) Sorry about your ex:(
I stumbled upon that one. I got rid of some more things yesterday. I'll do the same today.

Stuffed animals........why do those make me feel guilty? Like they are looking at me, hehehehehe.
I threw some away. We don't need them and they collect dust.

Funny, I started getting a little better before you started this page. Mabey we have the spring cleaning bug:)
You can see my kitchen table now, and sit on the chairs, except one I need to find a place for this stuff.

Cookbooks have to go. I have too many. I should set up a file on line and give the books away...........

Have you heard of www.freecycle.org? It's a way of recycling things that you want to get rid of for free.

I've never actually used it, but it seems like a good idea if everything is done in a very public place.

My stuffed animals are in a packed bag. The only reason I keep them is because they are gifts from other people who have meant a lot to me at some point or another in my life.

I really keep meaning to check into this site. I am also looking for "new" couch so I'd like to look there for that reason as well. I don't really want to spend money.

You sound just like me. I'm extremely sentimental! I saw this hammock type thing where you could store the stuffed animals...........mabey you could come up with some kind of organization for them?
Check out IKEA. They seem to have to have some wonderful products for this.
I have my dd's stuffed animals. A big pile in my room. I keep looking at them, but can't get rid of them, so for now, I'm going to put them out of my site in a bag. I can't deal with those now, lol. Too many memories:)
I can totally relate.

I think I'm going to purchase a box of really large "zippered" clear plastic bags (the size that can hold a folded coat) and put my stuffed animals in as many bags as it takes. That way I can see them and keep them stored away....

My absolute favorite stuffed animals are from my mother and brother. I think I'm going to simply put them on the sofa and the love seat and not give a hoot about what anyone might think of them.

(About furniture and things that people discard: make sure they don't come with unwanted "guests" or bugs. I even hate to say the dreaded word, but there is a bed bug problem in many places.)

I'm getting a new bookshelf soon, and that will give me more storage space for a variety of things, including a place for stuffed animals.

It will soon be time for me to get rid of coats in the closet.

What's the good measure to use? Is it that if I haven't worn it in a year or 3 years, get rid of it? I will probably be getting rid of coats that I haven't worn.

I went to the beach yesterday--It was hot and calm in the city, but windy and cold at the beach. Just the same I went with a friend and her son. We had a great time.
Goals are Great!
