Nodule in upper lobe of right lung

I am having a biopsy next week to determine if it is cancerous. i have had 2 opinions and they both say it looks like it is but they are not sure. I am told that even if the results come back positive it is possible I have some cancer cells in the lobe which were not detected. I am told these type of nodules grow slow and even if they are not cancer now, they can become so later. They are recomending a Cat Scan every 3 months to watch it to see if it grows. Then if so I should have it removed.
I don't know what to do, but I do feel if it is good today but can still become positive later, why would I anxiously wait for another 3 months? Would it be better to have it removed now, they said they would go in a take the upper 1/3 of the right lobe to be certain it all comes out.
I would appreciate any suggestions or thoughts you have.
Thank you,
Donna

I was diagnosed with blood clots in both lungs on 8/3/11. Now they have found enlarged lymph nodes in both lungs. They said a biopsy was needed but I needed to get the coumadin levels where they belong first. I'm so nervous. I get out of breath taking a shower.

I'm scared to death.

BB,
I also was recently diagnosed on 8/20/11 that I had a nodule in my upper right lobe. The doctor said its the right shape to be cancerous. Have to go for another CT scan on 11/21/11 to verify if its enlarged.
I have COPD, plus heart problems and aortic anyuersm to name a few health problems. To make matters worse my wife is 20 years younger than I and I don't have any insurance to leave her. It is scary but I know that God will take care of her.
I also get out of breath doing almost anything, showering, tying my shoes, bending over to feed the cat, etc.

Donna, I have just received this same info and will need to check the nodules with a CTscan in 3 month. What did you ever find out. Thank you. This is scary since the 4 cm nodules are in the upper and lower right lobes. Paula
