In July of this year I went to dr. because i was short of breath and having some tightness in my chest. had chest xray done and ekg to rule out any heart issues but was found were 2 small masses on my right lung and i have also been diagnosed with copd. So far i have had 2 ct's which show the masses have not grown any and i am scheduled to have another next month. I quit smoking immediately the thought of possibly having cancer made it easy. all the reading i have done show that normally copd shows up when your much older much to my surprise ( I just turned 40 this year) my pulmonary dr is great and up front with me.says she still concerned about the masses. the waiting to see if they have grown in size does take a toll on me and my husband we do have a teenager who knows of nothing that is going on.i dont want to tell him about it if we still dont know.
