1st stage lung cancer recently diagnosed

After discussion with pulmonologist as follow up to CT scan and radiologist review, I was advised that I had beginning stage of lung cancer. The possible procedures suggested by him was perhaps surgical removal, or having another CT scan in 6 months and waiting to see if the cancer grows which perhaps because it is so small may not. Can anyone let me know the best options available to me. I am a female in my 70s, feeling very good and otherwise healthy.
