I was diagnosed last month with stage3a lung cancer and due to location its inoperable, I am in my 2nd week of chemo and radiation. Yes I was heavy cigarette and marijuana smoker have quit both did both for over 30 years daily. I just would like to hear from others that have or currently go through same as me, so possibly we could compare our issues/concerns of enduring all this chemo and radiation. Biggest ailments is loss of voice due to tumor pressing on nerves to vocal chord, and shortness of breath with exertion, also experiencing depression surprise surprise...lol

3b lung here, not operable. 37 radiation treatments, plus 8 chemo., ending first round july09. second round treatment 5 chemo end in july10.
basic side effedts minimal. tumor pressing on aprta causes poor voice functions. most side effects were minimal in my case. however no cure to be found.

this week finds me in with the cancer returning. it now has a lesion of 1 cm and multi lesions [pinpoint>to brain.

big question now is treatment. have requested diagnostics go to md anderson for second opinion.

biggest problem for me [side effects> has been lack of feeling in feet. rubbed down with vicks helps that, cover with heavy socks.

anything else i can answer on this road , just ask.
