this has all happened very fast for me. 3 weeks ago my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. last Friday she had the top lobe of the right lung removed. they also took some lymphnodes. she seems to be doing well, lost a ton of weight. low potassium and sodium so she is on restricted water. they are having a hard time regulating the pain. found out yesterday the node were clear, they are calling it stage 1-a. i take that is good? can anyone tell me what to expect once we take her home? will she need lots of physical help? we will be there to support her all the way but i'm afraid of the unknowns. can someone who has been there tell me what i MIGHT expect? i know everyone is different and respect that. btw she is a 64 year old woman. she smoked for 50 years but has quit since this started.
