I finish my first 3 days of treatment on Feb 4 will be going back on the 23rd. i have small cell lung cancer stage 4 i have 3 day on treatment and 21 days of. my medicine is Carboplatin and Etoposide and Zometa. if any one have this type of cancer and some knowledge how it works or just tell me your experience with this type of cancer and the treatment you have tried. I would love for you to reply. any help would be appreciated. than Lillie

Hello Lillie! I feel badly when noone responds, so I thought I may as well. I have stage 4 NSCLC. Have done two rounds of carbo and gemzar with no positive results. Now on carbo and taxotere - second treatment is 2/25. This therapy is given once - then off 3 weeks. Next PET will tell, I guess. Take care, Lynn

I have stage lll small cell. Was treated for 8 months with cisplastin, gemzar and avastin. 7 hour session every 21 days. Then was treated with only avastin for 4 months. Prior to the chemo I had my right lower lobe removed which is where the tumor was. I received my PET scan in January and as of March I am cancer free (at least for now). I wish you the best. I know there are some holistic alternatives you may want to check into. Many cancer patients swear by it.
