Coping and learning how this disease affects you takes time. This illness can lead to the "blues" as I like to call them. It is hard to get use to not doing what you used to do, and accepting limitations.
There is no "normal" with this. Just when I think I figure out how to work with the disease, it finds a new way to put me down. LOL.
Hang in there, don't give up on yourself.

I have the very cold hands, sores on my tongue and in my hair line, and terrible pain in the joint of my hands and feet. I am tired all them time and I have really been getting depressed alot lately. It seems like each day there is something new that I have to overcome to get through the day. But hot showers help me the most. There are days that I take at least two of them.
I am suppose to loss some weight. Can anyone tell me a good way to do this or is there a special diet that anyone has been on that can work with all the meds.
i too have off and on butterfly rash on face which is hot to touch, achy joints, awakened nightly by joint pain, very tired and severely depressed, had the ANA test results said my labs were within normal range im not sure what that means but i hope my doctor does not stop there i would like to know whats wrong
I am very sorry to hear what you and all the above posters are dealing with, having "normal labs". , I, too, have "normal labs" !!! I did have a positive ANA at one time, but it is also usually negative. But your symptoms and signs you have stated here are VERY like mine. My rheum is treating me for lupus even though I have the bizarre test results, like you. Is your doctor treating you for lupus? Are you on plaquenil? Prednisone? Just curious. They help me, but I am still very sick. I am still strong when I have to be, but after I am very weak and sick, plus the arthritis.......:(
Hoping you hang around, welcome, I hope you feel better! jessi

This "hot red hands" is most likely raynaud's phenomenon, which goes along with many autoimmune diseases. Google it friends!! ;)
A TIP***for raynauds cold, white, hands...rinse in TEPID water, NOT WARM, or hot, or cold. This will help return blood and feeling. But they will probably still go thru the blue and red phases, anyway.
Sadly, this does not work for real severe pain.......
