Has anyone gone through a pregnacy while having lupus? I'm trying for anyother baby but this time around I have lupus. I found out 2 months AFTER my first born. I talked to my doctors but want to hear others stories.

I do not have any children, so I am not the right person to answer your question, but there are several people on this board who had successful pregnancies and healthy children while having lupus. I can also direct you toward some information on the subject:

I have had two daughters the youngest is 25 now the oldest is 27. I had great pregnacys i was off all meds and felt good but I was taking very good care of myself and not working. I still worry if our daughters will have problems or if our granddaughters will have any. Keep in mind that with lupus what works for one may not for someone else. It is a decision that you have to make with your doctor.

Make sure that your obgyn, rheumatologist, and high risk perinatal specialist are all working together! Women with lupus can certainly have successful pregnancies, but they do require special handling.
