Does the weather changing seemed to cause flare ups??? We as in ohio have had extremly dry warm summer, but after issaac hit down south its seemed to have blown in alot cooler and damper weather... and i was doing good till then almost relieved that the meds seemed to be working.....but not so much now, they raised my predisone from 5mg to 40mg and it still isnt helping....anyone else dealing with this issue?
lupylisa44 responded:
The weather changes derfinitely have an effect on many of us lupies, whether it is considered an actual, clinical flare up, I am not sure.

For me personally, the change in weather makes me very achy and tired which I would consider a flare up, but I don't need to increase my meds for these types of flares. It could be that your lupus is flaring and it just happened to coincide with the weather change.

I hope you start feeling better soon! Until then, try to hang in there!

I haven't noticed the weather affecting me as much as the sun. Have you been outside more with the cooler weather? Even certain indoor lighting really effects me. Sorry to hear that the predisone isn't working for you, hang in there.

MaryConcordNC responded:
I was diagnosed two years ago, so I don't have a lot of years experience, but so far I seem to have less pain in warm weather.
