Has anyone found any information on whether or not there is a connection between lupus and wheat and glueten allergies? Someone mentioned this to me recently and I'm wondering.

You should see other discussions on this topic, as it has come up before. I think what you'll find is there is a relationship, since Celiac disease is an auto-immune disease, like Lupus. There seems to be anecdotal evidence from people that they find it helps. My rheumatologist tested me, and said just because it didn't show up in the test, it doesn't mean I don't have a sensitivity to it. I have gone to a gluten-free diet, and it seems to help. When I have some flour in a sauce, I will often notice pain the next day. I only noticed this after going COMPLETELY gluten-free for a couple of weeks. Most rheumatologists will tell you that there is no definitive evidence for or against. Always, talk to your doctors before making changes like this!
